In 2009, our home in West Kelowna was devastated by a fire. As you might expect, we were personally devastated as well, and that was accentuated by my being pregnant with our first child at the time.

Les Bellamy, aka Bellamy Homes was contracted to both design and build our new home, on the existing lot.
This involved some preliminary demolition, excavation and site preparation work, as well as completely designing the new home, and of course building it.
Let me begin by saying we are 150% happy with Les and the Bellamy Homes team for delivering a fabulous new home, and guiding us through our first new home build, and in particular being sensitive and responsive to the exceptional circumstances surrounding the build.

We are now a family of 3, our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is exactly what we wanted and exactly what Les promised to deliver. He handed us our keys in January 2010, having completed the build precisely on time, and precisely on budget.
All throughout the building cycle Les was always available to us for comfort and consultation. He provided the expert services of a desginer/decorator to assist us in the selections part of the process.

Overall he made what could have been a horrendous several months incredibly easy for us. He is always "up front", honest, professional and reliable. He answered all of our questions [and there were many]. He described the process in terms we could understand and guided us every step of the way: both professionally and personally. Please accept this as a sincere and blanket recommendation of Les and Bellamy Homes. Should we ever again be in the position of building a new home: Les will be our first and only phone call.

The home Les Bellamy designed and built for us was not our first custom home build. Our previous experience was with a large, rather impersonal local builder, and we found that experience frustrating in many ways. I suppose that made us a little skeptical, and likely made the contrast in dealing with a dedicated, personable and hands-on builder like Les that much more positively marked in our minds.
We are family of 6: which is to say we are a couple with 2 very young children [boys] and 2 dogs. We had very clear requirements in some facets of the design of our home and were open to input from Les on others. He was receptive and respectful of our input too.
We took great comfort in knowing he was on the project from the very first site considerations, [which presented some design challenges], through the architectural design of the home plan and of course at each and every stage in the physical construction.
As his advertising states: there were “no surprises”. He anticipated many items that could have been problematic or stressful for us. He rigidly scheduled and closely monitored the work of all sub-trades and he repeatedly “went the extra mile for us”. This included accompanying us to meetings for various selections intervening to our benefit with our lenders, and always being available to us to meet or talk. The build was completed on time, and on budget. The result is exactly the home we wanted and envisioned. We heartily endorse and recommend Bellamy Homes, and our new friend Les.

Les Bellamy was the Residential Home Designer and Project Manager for our last two Homes. Les is an organized, thorough, fair gentlemen committed to solving the most complicated of problems. We will not hesitate to recommend Les Bellamy to anyone.

We would like to submit as letter of reference for Les Bellamy in regards to work that Les has done for us in the past. We had a very positive relationship with Les who did both our blueprints and the on-site management of the entire construction process for our new home in the Quarry. We found that Les is very accurate and timely with co-coordinating the various trades to bring our project in on time during a very busy construction season. We also found that his rates were very reasonable as some designers will nickel and dime you for all the little extras which usually don't show up in their initial quotes. We are going to build again and had Les do the blueprints for our proposed new home as well. We would highly recommend dealing with Les as an honest individual as well as his knowledge and experience in the building industry.
